fa بررسی کیفیت تصاویر دیجیتال پانورامیک در تکنولوژی Safe Beam Exposure و تنظیم دوز دستی در افراد با BMI مختلف: مطالعه‌ی مقطعی EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY OF DIGITAL PANORAMIC IMAGES WITH SAFE BEAM EXPOSURE TECHNOLOGY AND MANUAL DOSE ADJUSTMENT IN PATIENTS WITH DIFFERENT BMI: A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY رادیولوژی دهان ودندان رادیولوژی دهان ودندان پژوهشي(توصیفی- تحلیلی) Research پیش‌زمینه و هدف: شاخص تودهی بدنی از عوامل تأثیرگذار بر کیفیت تصاویر رادیوگرافی پانورامیک می‌باشد. این مطالعه باهدف بررسی کیفیت تصاویر دیجیتال پانورامیک در تکنولوژی مواجهه با پرتو ایمن Safe Beam Exposure(SBE) و تنظیم دوز دستی در افراد با شاخص توده بدنی Body Mass Index ((BMI مختلف انجام گرفت. مواد و روش‌ها: در یک مطالعه‌ی مقطعی تعداد 200 بیمار در محدوده سنی 20-60 سال که رادیوگرافی پانورامیک در مسیر درمان ایشان تجویز شده بود به‌صورت تصادفی انتخاب شدند. 50 درصد افراد در گروه تنظیم دوز دستی و 50 درصد در گروه تکنولوژی SBE به‌صورت تصادفی توزیع شدند. پس از نمره‌گذاری شاخص‌های کیفیت تصاویر، نمرات به‌منظور تحلیل وارد نرم‌افزار spss گردید. یافته‌ها: میانگین سن شرکت‌کنندگان 96/11± 96/37 بود. 5/53درصد افراد، زن و 5/46درصد مرد بودند. 87درصد نمونهها در شاخص تودهی بدنی 5/18 تا 30 قرار داشتند. کیفیت کلی تصاویر شامل (noise(0003/0=p)، contrast(0001/0=p)، دانستیه (0002/0=p)، رزولوشن (0003/0=p)) و شاخص‌های آناتومیک شامل لامینادورا (0004/0=p)، میزان وضوح لبه‌ای دندان‌ها (0002/0=p)، دیواره‌های کانال مندیبولار (0001/0=p)، انتهای آپکس دندان‌های مولر بالا (0002/0=p) و حد DEJ (0002/0=p) با استفاده از تکنولوژی SBE در رده‌های مختلف BMI، بیشتر از تنظیم دوز دستی بود. نتیجه‌گیری: تکنولوژی SBE میتواند به‌عنوان تکنولوژی نوین جهت اخذ تصاویر با کیفیتتر و با وضوح آناتومیک بیشتر در رده‌های مختلف BMI مورداستفاده قرار گیرد. با کاهش BMI، کیفیت تشخیصی لندمارکهای آناتومیک مختلف موردبررسی در تصاویر پانورامیک افزایش می‌یابد. Background & Aims: Body Mass Index (BMI) is a factor that affects the quality of panoramic images. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of panoramic digital images with Safe Beam Exposure (SBE) and manual dose adjustment among patients with different BMI levels. Material & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 200 patients, aged 20-60 years who were prescribed panoramic radiography in the course of their treatment were selected randomly as samples. 50% of the subjects were allocated to the manual dose adjustment group and 50% were distributed randomly to the SBE technology group. After grading quality of the images, scores were entered into the SPSS software. Results: The mean age of participants was 37.96±11.96. 53.5% of participants were women and 46.5% were men. 87% of the samples fell in BMI of 18.5 ≤to ≥30. The overall quality of the images included noise (p=0.0003), contrast (p=0.0001), density (p=0.0002), and resolution (p=0.0003) and anatomical indicators included Laminadora (p= 0.0003), edge sharpness of teeth (p = 0.0002), mandibular canal walls (p = 0.0001), apex end of upper molar teeth (p= 0.0002), and DEJ limit (p= 0.0002). SBE technology in various categories of BMI was better than manual dose adjustment. Conclusion: SBE technology could be used as a new technology to obtain images with higher quality and better anatomical resolution in various categories of BMI.
