TY - JOUR JF - URMIAMJ JO - Studies in Medical Sciences VL - 23 IS - 6 PY - 2013 Y1 - 2013/3/01 TI - A SURVEY OF NOSOCOMIAL INFECTIONS IN INTENSIVE CARE UNITS IN AN IMAM REZA HOSPITAL TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE PREVENTIVE GUIDES BASED ON INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS TT - بررسی میزان شیوع عفونت‌های بیمارستانی در بخش‌های آی سی یو بیمارستان امام رضا (ع)شهرستان ارومیه و ارائه راه کار مناسب بر اساس استانداردهای جهانی جهت پیشگیری N2 -   Background & Aims : As more than 20% of nosocomial infections occur in intensive care units and the crude mortality rate is between 10 and 80%, the objective of the present study was to survey the prevalence of nosocomial infections to provide appropriate preventive guides based on international standards.   Material & Methods : The present Descriptive and analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out on 101 patients with hospital-acquired infections in one year. Data were analyzed using SPSS to compute descriptive and analytical statistics.   Results : The total cross infections rate was 0.4% of which 54.45% was for the intensive care units. The highest infections occurred in the respiratory system (47.27%).
